Our wooden ball shaped little drummer boy Christmas ornaments are created from assorted hardwoods and are approximately 1 5/8" in diameter. The large egg-shaped drummer boy ornaments are from basswood and are 2 1/2" long. The small egg shaped ornaments are approximately 2" long, made from hardwoods. All designs are original and each ornament is individually hand painted and varnished to a beautiful smooth, shiny finish. Each ornament is gift boxed and includes a descriptive card.
The wise men and the shepherds all brought gifts for the newborn King. The poor little drummer boy was embarrassed and sad as he had no gift to bring. And, hesitantly, he began to play his drum, very softly at first and then louder as his confidence grew. In the manger, the Christ Child turned toward the little drummer boy and smiled at his wonderful, yet simple gift. For the little drummer boy had given him the best gift of all, the gift of love, a gift from the heart.
